UPDATE (1/12/15): On Sept. 11, 2014 Brother Lerman received the Air Force Commendation Medal with Valor for his heroic actions.
6/7/13 – “At one point (he) stopped moving. I quickly realized that he wasn’t breathing any longer and his pulse was gone,” Lerman said. “His chest was rock hard from being compressed with blood. We all thought he was going to die.”
While on duty at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan in 2011, Brother Samuel S. Lerman (Beta-Omega, Colorado College, ’05) saved the life of an Afghan contractor named Safiullah, who was critically injured in a rocket attack.
Kappa Sigma is proud of Brother Lerman, and thank him, and all military personnel, for their service. AEKDB
