The Kappa-Chi Chapter at the College of Charleston launched the Palmetto Relief Project last month as a food, water, and blanket drive to support those suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Joaquin.  In addition to the drive, they started a GoFundMe to sell “Palmetto Relief Project” wristbands.  The campaign raised over 1,000 pounds of goods and $16,907 dollars!  All of the money and goods were donated to Central Carolina Community Foundation, a local non-profit donating 100% of the funds to flood relief.
Their efforts received support from the College of Charleston, the Charleston community, and other Kappa Sigma chapters.  The immediate and steadfast effort of these brothers truly exemplifies the core principles of the A Greater Cause initiative and what it means to be a Kappa Sigma.
