Directors

  • Christopher P. Kontalonis accepted the position of Director of Development for the Endowment Fund, leaving his post as Assistant Executive Director for the Fraternity. Brother Kontalonis will oversee donor relations, giving opportunities and the Headquarters’ building operations, among other duties. Brother Kontalonis is a 2002 initiate of the Beta-Upsilon Chapter at North Carolina State University and has served on the Kappa Sigma staff since 2006.
  • Leo J. Brown, IV, accepted the position of Director of Chapter Services after having served as Director of Colony Development since 2012. Brother Brown will continue to oversee colony development, while also supporting chapter operations, managing ritual equipment and chapter installations. Brother Brown is a 2004 initiate of the Theta-Theta Chapter at Western Kentucky University and has served continuously on the Kappa Sigma staff since 2012. Prior to 2012, Brown served as an area recruitment manager for both the west and southeast areas from 2009-2011.
  • Derald A. Dryman joined the Kappa Sigma staff in April 2013 as Social Media Coordinator, and was promoted to Director of Public Relations in fall 2013. Brother Dryman assists with The Caduceus, oversees the Fraternity’s social media presence, as well as general communications between internal and external audiences. Brother Dryman is a 2008 initiate of the Xi-Sigma Chapter at Western Carolina University and served on Kappa Sigma’s communications commission for two years prior to joining the Kappa Sigma staff.
  • Corey G. Hill joined the Kappa Sigma staff in August 2013 as Director of Education Programs. Brother Hill provides volunteer support, membership status changes, as well as assistance to Kappa Sigma’s Brothers in Action and A Greater Cause initiatives. Brother Hill is a 2005 initiate of the Theta-Psi Chapter at Oklahoma City University. Prior to joining the Kappa Sigma staff, Brother Hill served as the commissioner of the Brothers in Action Commission, as well as District Grand Master for the Oklahoma district.

2014-2015 Area Recruitment Managers

  • Kyle A. DeVivo will focus on Fraternity expansion throughout North America. Brother DeVivo served as the northeast area recruitment manager in 2013-2014. Brother DeVivo is a 2008 initiate of the Alpha-Lambda Chapter at the University of Vermont.
  • Casey R. Vanderpool will again serve the chapters in the West. Brother Vanderpool is a 2009 initiate of the Kappa-Alpha Chapter at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
  • Michael M. Clark will serve the chapters of the Northeast. Brother Clark is a 2009 initiate of the Alpha-Lambda Chapter at the University of Vermont.
  • Alexander J. “Zandi” Larmour will serve the chapters in the Atlantic coast region. Brother Larmour is a 2011 initiate of the Rho-Chi Chapter at the University of Mary Washington.
  • Brendan Melander will serve the chapters of the Southwest. Brother Melander is a 2011 initiate of the Rho Chapter at Arizona State University.
  • Jerrick E. Williams will serve the chapters of the Midwest. Brother Williams is a 2009 initiate of the Pi-Eta Chapter at Missouri Southern State University.

Support Staff

  • Trisha Caldwell accepted the position of Assistant Controller with the Fraternity in January 2014, leaving the position of Accounting Clerk for the Endowment Fund that she had held since 2012.
  • Saria Winkler joined the Endowment Fund staff as administrative assistant in January 2014. Winkler assists with gift inquiries, payment processing and data entry.

Interns

  • Ronal K. “RK” Holsey, III, joined the Kappa Sigma staff as an intern in January 2014 and will serve through the end of the summer. Brother Holsey focuses on colony development in conjunction with Brother Brown. Brother Holsey is a 2009 of the Mu-Gamma Chapter at Texas A&M University.
  • Samuel F. Jazzo will serve on the Kappa Sigma staff during summer 2014 and will work with Brother Dryman on the Fraternity’s communications. Brother Jazzo is a 2013 initiate of the Epsilon-Beta Chapter at the University of Miami.
  • DeShawn D. Clement will serve on the Endowment Fund staff during summer 2014 and will work with Brother Kontalonis on various projects. Brother Clement is a 2011 initiate of the Nu-Upsilon Chapter at Winthrop University.
  • Logan T. Johnson will serve on the Endowment Fund staff during summer 2014 and will work with Brother Kontalonis on various projects. Brother Johnson is a 2010 initiate of the Rho-Zeta Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast University.
