Kappa Sigma’s Xi-Beta Chapter at Northeastern University recently held their annual Military Heroes 5k race along the Charles River in Boston, MA. The event was a great success with nearly 150 individuals in attendance. Race participants ran along the river to raise money for charity. Overall the event raised $1,625 for the Military Heroes Campaign.
“Nothing makes me more proud than to see brothers from all over New England come together to support the Military Heroes Campaign. With so much support from brothers and alumni in the Greater Boston Area, events like this are a true testament to Kappa Sigma’s dedication to all four pillars and most notably our pillars of Fellowship and Service,” said Alex Bonacum, Grand Master of the Xi-Beta Chapter of Kappa Sigma.
Created in 2007, the Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign honors and aids thousands of military veterans and their families in communities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Since its inception, the campaign has donated over $500,000 to non-profit organizations who advocate on behalf of servicemen and women and those wounded in combat.
