View the 2016 Scholarship-Leadership Award Winners

It has been an incredible year for the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund Scholarship-Leadership Award program. Since 1947, the Endowment Fund has donated nearly $5 million to brothers demonstrating excellence in academics, campus involvement, and fraternity leadership. The 2016 Scholarship-Leadership Award Program has experienced record participation and growth.

  • 3,110 applications submitted an increase of 230%.
  • Brothers from 270 chapters will be receiving a cash award, an increase of 238%.
  • There are 347 winners, an increase of 131%.
  • This year the program will distribute $130,000, an increase of 45%.

Last month, The Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund Trustee’s established the Dr. John W. Ryan Leadership Circle, which recognizes the Top 25 undergraduates who scored highest on the Scholarship-Leadership Award Application. This recognition has been named in honor of Past Worthy Grand Master, Dr. John W. Ryan, one of the world’s most respected educators and college administration leaders. Each Ryan Honoree will be recognized at the Biennial Grand Conclave and will have their registration and lodging paid for. To view the inaugural class of Ryan Honoree’s, please click here.

Recently the Kappa Sigma Military Heroe’s Foundation funded three additional, $1,250 Scholarship-Leadership Awards for undergraduate brothers that have served in the United States or Canadian armed forces. They are named in honor of; Honorable Robert J. Dole, William K. Carpenter, and Louis S. Zamperini .
