As the largest college fraternity in North America, Kappa Sigma recognizes that this is a frustrating time in the United States and Canada due to COVID-19 and the recent issues in Minneapolis and across North America.
Our Brotherhood is angered by the racial injustices that continue to occur in our society.
Kappa Sigma is a diverse organization. While many of us cannot come close to comprehending the unique experiences and challenges that many of our members continue to face every day, we do know that all our Brothers solemnly swear an Oath, abide by a Code of Conduct, and adhere to our creed, The Star & Crescent. The principles in each of these, when followed, lead to the building of better men and better members of society. However, when any of these are broken, sanctions or removal from the fraternity is immediate.
Together, we stand as Brothers united against all injustice, racism, and violence – for our mutual protection.“The Star and Crescent shall not be worn by every man, but only by him who is worthy to wear it. He must be a gentleman. . . a man of honor and courage. . . a man of zeal, yet humble . . . an intelligent man . . . a man of truth . . . one who tempers action with wisdom and, above all else, one who walks in the light of God.”
