Kappa Sigma welcomed the Tau-Gamma Chapter to the University of Nevada, Reno, on April 26, 2014, in Reno, Nev. The Omicron-Omega (CSU-Stanislaus), Rho-Omicron (UC-Merced), Omicron-Mu (CSU-Bakersfield), Nu-Lambda (CSU-Sacrament0) and Kappa-Alpha (Nevada-Las Vegas) chapters initiated 63 men into the Tau-Gamma Chapter. The chapter is led by GM Jonathan C. Kenerson, with Brother Charles V. Kenerson (Kappa-Alpha, Nevada-Las Vegas, ’67) serving as alumnus advisor and Brother Joshua Grossman (Nu-Lambda, CSU-Sacramento, ’97) serving as District Grand Master for the Northern California district. WGM Hugh M. Robert (Epsilon-Mu, Tulsa, ’95) delivered the keynote address at the chapter’s installation banquet.
AA Charles Kenerson was the founding GM of the Kappa-Alpha Chapter, and his son, Jonathan, is the founding GM of the Tau-Gamma Chapter. In a special moment, AA Charles Kenerson presented his son, GM Jonathan Kenerson, with an exact replica of a pin that that his father presented to him at the Kappa-Alpha installation in 1967. AA Kenerson also presented his wife with the same sweetheart pin that his father gave to his mother at the Kappa-Alpha installation in 1967.
