Kappa Sigma welcomed 34 initiates into the Tau-Kappa Chapter at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Ind. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, becoming the 396th chapter to receive its charter in the Fraternity’s history. Tau-Kappa was colonized in November 2013. The Brothers of Tau-Kappa were initiated by ritual teams from several nearby chapters. The ritual teams were led by Ritual Commission Member Nathan L. Bates (Kappa-Mu, Tennessee Tech, ’10).
The following chapters sent ritual teams:

  • Kappa-Mu – Tennessee Tech
  • Nu-Theta – Morehead State
  • Rho-XI – Eastern Kentucky
  • Mu-Eta – University of Louisville

Worthy Grand Procurator Derek L. Marchman (Lambda-Xi, Georgia College and State University, ’85) attended the ceremonies and provided the keynote address at the installation banquet. The chapter is led by Grand Master Isaac J. Jackson and assisted by Alumnus Advisor Aaron L. Morris (Theta-Theta, Western Kentucky University, ’03).
Tau-Kappa is located in the Kentucky District where Brother Andrew B. Heineman (Theta-Theta, Western Kentucky University, ’04) serves as District Grand Master.
About the Tau-Kappa Chapter
