15) Kappa-Chi Brothers Provide Hurricane Relief
The Kappa-Chi Chapter launched the Palmetto Relief Project as a food, water, and blanket drive to support those suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Joaquin. The campaign raised $16,907 dollars!

12) Kevin S. Kaplan Inducted into ΚΣ Hall of Honor
Kevin S. Kaplan, past Worthy Grand Master 2003-05 of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, was inducted into the prestigious Kappa Sigma Hall of Honor on July 25 during its 70th Biennial Grand Conclave.

10) Kappa Sigma Chapter Accepts Unveils Plaque Honoring Jimmy Buffett
Kappa Sigma alumnus, Jimmy Buffett, and his former bandmate, Greg “Fingers” Taylor, were honored in November with a plaque commemorating their meeting at the University of Southern Mississippi.
9) Anthony Sadler Honored With Kappa Sigma Fraternity “Golden Heart Award”
Anthony Sadler was honored with Kappa Sigma’s Golden Heart Award, which recognizes valor, bravery and courage, consistent with the values of the fraternity. The award has been presented just 25 times in the organization’s 146 year history.

7) Mr. Belding Graduates From College!
Brother Dennis Haskins (Alpha-Iota, University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, ’70), or better known as Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell, graduated this year at age 65!
6) September 11th Memorial
We remember all the lives affected by the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001. Among the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, six were our Brothers.
5) 2015 Man of the Year
R. D. “Dan” Burck was selected as the 2015 Kappa Sigma Man of the Year. Brother Burck was the Chancellor of The University of Texas System. His leadership led to the creation of ESPN, the first cable sports network, of which he was Vice President and founding director.
4) 70th Biennial Grand Conclave – July 22-25
Conclave is held every two years to complete the work of the Order, reflect on past successes while preparing for the future and to share in fellowship with Brothers from across North America.

We were proud to hear of the heroic act by Brother Anthony Sadler, Jr., for his role in helping to thwart a terrorist plot on a train from Amsterdam to Paris on August 22, 2015.

We were proud to hear of the heroic act by Keith Williams, a member of Kappa Sigma’s Tau-Iota chapter at Farmingdale State College. Brother Williams ran into a burning building to carry his neighbor out.
