Donald C. Dilley, Jr. Scholarship-Leadership Awards

Through Kappa Sigma’s Donald C. Dilley, Jr. Scholarship-Leadership Awards, undergraduate members are honored for their outstanding journey in education. The application is open to all undergraduate Brothers in September, and closes at the end of October. The application is available to all eligible members.

Since 1947, the Scholarship-Leadership Awards have remained the Endowment Fund’s hallmark program, boasting more than $7 million in disbursements benefiting thousands of brothers demonstrating excellence in academics, campus involvement, and fraternity leadership.

The Donald C. Dilley, Jr. Scholarship Leadership Award Program is named in honor of Brother Donald C. Dilley, Jr, a 1953 initiate of the Epsilon-Phi Chapter at Texas Tech. Brother Dilley was a legacy as his father, Donald Dilley, Sr. was a Gamma-Omicron initiate at the University of Kansas. Brother Dilley served our country in the United States Navy. Following his retirement from the Navy, he was a farmer in Texas until he retired to Florida. Brother Dilley believed in education and providing scholarships to the Brothers of Kappa Sigma across North America. We are forever grateful for his donation that helps fund our annual scholarship program.

Chapter Scholarship Funds enable generous Brothers to direct their scholarship assistance to members of their own or any particular Chapter. Once fully funded, the Chapter Scholarship Fund will award annual scholarships to qualified undergraduates from your chapter.

Named Scholarships are available at several levels. Upon completion of payment, a Scholarship-Leadership Award will be presented in your name to an undergraduate brother from your chapter for the number of years indicated below. CLICK HERE to learn more about our Named Scholarship opportunities.

Award recipients are named each Founder’s Day (December 10) for: academic performance; fulfilling fraternity and campus leadership roles; demonstrating Kappa Sigma ritual proficiency; taking part in honor societies and other activities.

Alumni contributions wholly fund Kappa Sigma’s Scholarship Program. Join hands with Brothers across the country in endorsing tomorrow’s scholars and leaders.
