Kappa Sigma Chapter Unveils Plaque Honoring Jimmy Buffett

Kappa Sigma alumnus, Jimmy Buffett, and his former bandmate, Greg “Fingers” Taylor, were honored in November with an plaque commemorating their meeting at the University of Southern Mississippi. The duo went on to contribute a great deal toward popular culture, with Buffett himself becoming a household name.
The plaque was unveiled by the Grand Master of Kappa Sigma’s Epsilon-Nu Chapter, Phillip Lemere, with undergraduate brothers and alumni coming together to turn the honor into an all-day event. “I enjoyed being able to have a good day with undergraduate and alumni chapter brothers,” said Phillip “and it was great to see Brother Buffett and Greg Taylor get the recognition they deserve.”
