As a follow up to our story leading up to Alpha-Lambda’s Sleep Out for Soldiers event the results are in! The Alpha-Lambda Chapter at the University of Vermont recently raised $14,000 for Kappa Sigma’s Military Heroes Campaign. The 8th annual Sleep Out for Soldiers event has been a stunning success in Vermont and this year’s event topped last year’s record of $12,000 raised.
Alpha-Lambda was fortunate to have an active Navy SEAL, Bryce Patterson in attendance along with several brothers from the New England area present who represented Kappa Sigma chapters from the University of New Hampshire, University of Rhode Island, Northeastern University and the University of Maine.
Chapter Brother Darian Newman would like to personally thank everyone who attended for helping the chapter make the event the best one yet. He went on to say his favorite part of the event is “getting the chance to meet brothers from other schools and coming together for a great cause.”
