Kappa Sigma’s Alpha-Eta Chapter at George Washington University hosted their 4th annual Shave Away event on Sunday October 25th 2015. Shave Away is a fundraiser to support the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation. This foundation funds research and treatment to children with cancer.
Overall the event was very successful with the Chapter raising over $16,500 for charity. During the event brothers of Kappa Sigma shaved their heads to raise money and show support for cancer survivors and victims. Shave Away 2015 also consisted of live music, a BBQ, games and giveaways.
Brother Spencer Perry said “I hope that it shows that there are members of the Greek community that care deeply about issues that are different than regular social aspects associated with college life.”
