On March 4, 2016, the Kappa Sigma Fraternity launched its inaugural STEPHEN ALONZO JACKSON DAY OF GIVING with a goal of 1,000 alumni and undergraduate brothers making a donation to benefit their Chapter Scholarship Fund.
What happened next was unprecedented… In a 24 hour period, a record-setting 4,581 brothers donated $156,716.
“This is the greatest fundraising campaign in Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund history,” said Endowment Fund Chairman Thomas P. Bishop. “Over 3,000 undergraduate and 1,500 alumni brothers supported the effort.”
Impressively, 2% of all living Kappa Sigma brothers in the world participated. This includes 15% of all undergraduates and 90% of our chapters and colonies.
“The power of Kappa Sigma was unleashed last Friday for the fraternal world to see,” said Worthy Grand Master Derek L. Marchman. “This monumental achievement is what the ‘culture of giving’ in Kappa Sigma is about.”
