Kappa Sigma is an organization focused on our undergraduates. Even as we push our chapters to achieve new heights in Champion Quest, A Greater Cause, and other key initiatives, we provide numerous opportunities for rewards and prizes through participation in several contests and competitions.

In the fall, we had our first Military Heroes Month competition to highlight both veterans and our Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign, which supports veterans’ charities. The Upsilon-Lambda Chapter at SUNY-Oneonta won the competition. Upsilon-Lambda received four free registrations and a free hotel room at our 2020 Leadership Conference in Denver, as well as a Military Heroes Campaign banner. Other chapters winning prizes in the competition include Rho-Sigma (St. Johns-Staten Island), Delta-Mu (University of North Dakota), Beta-Psi (University of Washington), and Pi-Epsilon (University of Houston).

Kappa Sigma is also currently engaged in our Spring Champion Quest social media contest, where chapters are asked to beat last year’s spring rush total and engage in Kappa Sigma social media by posting pictures of their newest pledge classes using #KappaSigma2020. Other recent contests include our ongoing #FreeGearFriday promotions and our recent Blog Naming Contest.

Stay tuned for other upcoming competitions, including our annual Ritual Competition, later this semester!
