Kappa Sigma Brother Rescues Woman From Burning Vehicle

On the early morning of Friday, January 15th 2016 Kappa Sigma alumnus David B. Philcox and his partner Austin Whitley came across a car on the side of the road that had been flipped multiple times. The two deputies approached the vehicle and saw that a woman was trapped inside and that flames had begun to enter the car through the dashboard.
The two deputies then jumped into action as Whitley cut the seatbelt and Brother Philcox pulled the woman from the vehicle. Their actions without a doubt saved the woman’s life. Brother Philcox attended Florida State University and joined the Epsilon-Sigma Chapter of Kappa Sigma in 1993.
