Kappa Sigma has always embraced the concept of service and bettering our surrounding communities. This past year has been no different. Throughout the 2012-2013 academic school year, Kappa Sigma brothers demonstrated their undying passion for improving their surrounding communities on a local and national level through the Kappa Sigma Day of Service.
Announced at the 2012 Leadership Conferences in New Orleans and Las Vegas, the Day of Service was designed to bring all chapters and brothers of Kappa Sigma together for one day to give back to our surrounding communities. Kappa Sigma Brotherhood responded in spades to the Day of Service! When it was all said and done, Kappa Sigma brothers throughout the country volunteered over 29,000 hours and raised over $ϲ0,000 for charitable causes in just one day. Overall the Kappa Sigma Day of Service was a great success. Coming off the tremendous success and outstanding feedback from the inaugural Day of Service, Kappa Sigma decided to “double down” in advance of Grand Conclave in Las Vegas and hold a second Spring Day of Service which took place on Saturday April 13, 2013. Read more about Kappa Sigma’s Spring Day of Service in the next issue of the Caduceus.
As Grand Conclave approaches this summer in Las Vegas, Kappa Sigma’s dedication to service is stronger than ever! Kappa Sigma continues to lead the fraternal world with our philanthropic efforts and our resolve to make the world around us a better place is second to none. All Kappa Sigma Brothers should be proud of our A Greater Cause accomplishments this past year
