Kappa Sigma is proud to announce the Supreme Executive Committee has voted to reestablish the Kappa-Phi Chapter at George Mason University in Fairfax County, Va. and this past Saturday, November 16, 2024, they were reinstalled as our 202nd Chapter. On February 28, 2024 the Kappa-Phi Colony at George Mason University was kicked off and over the last year has worked hard to achieve their Chapter. To achieve their charter, just this year, the 58 men of Kappa-Phi donated nearly 1,990 hours of community service, and completed multiple workshops over the Code of Conduct, Champion Quest, and time management.
These Brothers were joined by Worthy Grand Scribe Daniel J. Tierney (Theta-Nu, ’99), Director of Recruitment Nicholas M. Hauck (Alpha-Iota, ’15), and Ritualist R. Kyle Somers (Xi-Rho, ’17) representing the Fraternity. District Grand Master Matthew B. Bott (Kappa-Rho, ’96) represented the District.
Thank you to all the volunteers and alumni who helped make this installation special, including Alumnus Advisor Wayne C. Connelly, II (Kappa-Phi, ’88)
We would also like to thank the Brothers of the following Chapters who attended the Installation as ritual teams:
Omicron-Phi – Washington College
Eta – Randolph-Macon College
Sigma-Psi – Catholic University of America
Brothers everywhere wish Kappa-Phi the best as they begin their road to excellence and offer our congratulations!
