Kappa Sigma is proud to announce the Supreme Executive Committee has voted to reestablish the Rho-Nu Chapter at the University of Texas, Tyler campus in Tyler, Texas and this past Saturday, December 2, 2023, they were installed, reclaiming their position as our 352nd Chapter. On April 19, 2022, the Rho-Nu Colony was kicked off and over the last year and a half have worked hard to achieve their Chapter. To achieve their charter, just this year, the 45 men of Rho-Nu donated over 1,800 hours of community service, raised over $500 for charitable causes, and completed multiple workshops over the Code of Conduct, Champion Quest, and time management.
These Brothers were joined by Worthy Grand Treasurer Dr. Lionel L. de la Houssaye, Jr. (Theta-Rho, ’83), Vice-President External Affairs Leo J. Brown IV (Theta-Theta, ’04), and Ritual Commission Member Kristian B. Griffiths (Theta-Rho, ’14) representing the Fraternity. Their DGM Eric A. Hall (Nu-Rho, ’99) represented the District.
Thank you to all the volunteers and alumni who helped make this installation special, including DGMs Michael K. Griffiths (Theta-Rho, ’87), Nicholas E. Houser (Epsilon-Upsilon, ’19), Conduct Commissioner Nicholas A. Gallicchio (Xi-Upsilon, ’02), ADGM William C. Wilson (Xi-Upsilon, ’02), AA Eric B. Hamilton (Mu-Omicron, ’93), and AAA Michael M. Nash (Mu-Omicron, ’93).
We would also like to thank the Brothers of the following Chapters who attended the Installation as ritual teams:
