Throughout November, the undergraduate Brothers of the Lambda-Lambda Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Elon University grew mustaches to raise awareness and solicit donations for men’s health issues in support of the Movember Foundation.

The Movember Foundation is the leading charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year-round. It addresses some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.

Elon Kappa Sigma began the month of November with a goal of raising $20,000 to be donated to the “Movember” Foundation campaign. After a full month of putting their razors down and raising money, the fraternity was able to surpass their goal of $20,000. They finished the month with a total of $22,460 raised and a national ranking in the top ten among college campuses.  Elon Kappa Sigma has raised over $10,000 for this worthy cause for six consecutive years. They look forward to next November when they will participate in the Movember Foundation campaign again.

Kappa Sigma is committed to making a difference in the lives of others. It is this commitment that has provided the inspiration and vision for A Greater Cause – the Fraternity’s bold initiative to promote volunteerism, citizenship, and service to the community.
