The Worthy Grand Procurator (WGP) is charged with upholding the ideals of the Star and Crescent and the standards of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity among all members: pledges, undergraduates, and alumni. Brother Burton R. Trembly (Theta-Zeta, Eastern New Mexico University, ‘98) was elected to serve as our new WGP at the 73rd Biennial Grand Conclave in Nashville, TN. Brother Trembly is no stranger to the SEC having served as our Worthy Grand Scribe last two bienniums.
In addition to his terms on the SEC, Brother Trembly has a long history of service to Kappa Sigma, serving in various roles across the Fraternity. Professionally, he is the President of Coaching Charities, a foundation management company in Las Vegas, NV, as well as a partner. Brother Trembly is fueled by his love of the Order and interest in what it can provide young men in their college years. “I believe Kappa Sigma provides the best opportunities to prepare young men for life after college,” says Brother Trembly. “It did for me, and I love helping others have the same experiences.”
With more than two decades of involvement in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Brother Trembly has attended numerous fraternity functions, events, and gatherings. Among his favorites is the grand opening of Kappa Sigma’s International Headquarters in the summer of 2007. Says Brother Trembly, “I was in awe of our beautiful Headquarters campus then, and still am to this day.”
Brother Trembly is committed to realizing Brother Jackson’s dream and encourages undergraduate brothers likewise: “Provide the gift of Kappa Sigma to as many young men on your campus as possible!” Clearly, the Kappa Sigma Fraternity has had a deep and meaningful impact for Brother Trembly and he wants to share the gifts that he’s received with future generations of Kappa Sigma men.
Thank you, good luck, and AEKDB in your new role Brother Trembly!
